Getting it Done with Remember the MIlk
This learning scenario has been created to introduce the trainees to a powerful web 2.0 task management tool, Remember the MIlk (RTM). This scenario quickly introduces the trainees to RTM, but places the responsibility of further exploring and expanding their use of the tool on the trainees, making it an interactive and self-directed learning experience. At the end of the course, the Parks department Supervisor and Crew Leaders should be able to:
• Create a new list using RTM tool.
• Create a new task within the newly created list.
• Assign by ‘sharing’ a list using RTM
tool.
• View a list and task using RTM tool.
• User Guide on how to use the RTM tool
• Initial setup is on computers with internet
access
• Smartphones or other mobile devices will
be used while out in the field

Municipal Parks department Supervisor and Crew Leaders
This group currently uses computers and mobile devices so they are familiar with these technologies. Enhancing what they already use to manage assignments and tasks should pose no difficulty. This group currently uses daily task sheets, but no long-term project management, record of past tasks, etc. Using RTM should be immediately applicable to track and manage their work. This tool should be valuable to their work, as this will help them be organized, efficient, and effective. If the continued use of RTM proves helpful to this group they may present its application to other departments within the municipality. This can be informal by mentioning it and explaining how they used it or making a formal presentation. There is also the potential to share RTM with other Park departments/districts at conferences.
